Divorce Mediation
Divorce Mediation is an affordable option for couples wanting to resolve the issues of their divorce in a confidential and out-of-court setting. During mediation, the couple works together with the mediator to generate a fair and equitable agreement based upon their unique and personal circumstances. It is a client-driven process where the couple works with a neutral third party who helps them effectively address the issues that impede the achievement of a settlement agreement. The mediator serves as a “facilitator” and will not tell the couple what to do, but will listen carefully and facilitate a fair negotiation.
Mediation has become an increasingly recommended alternative to the emotionally difficult and financially costly litigation process. Although mediation is not therapy, one of the potential benefits of mediation is improved communication which is helpful not only to the couple, but their children as well.
